Judith's Story
Who am I? A joyous Christian, pianist, piano teacher, conservative, poet, mother of one daughter, wife to a writer and retired college prof.
In 1961 I left SFHS for Buena Park HS, entered U of Redlands in 1964, dropped out in 1966, played piano professionally for a number of years and graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1983, English major. Crazy in love and married to my English prof from way back then--I guess we are both retired, although I love any piano opportunities that would come my way.
I want to connect with my childhood and junior high friends. I have such great memories of growing up in Norwalk--playing in the Santa Fe Springs Youth Band, mainly, and all the great girls that lived on Longworth (Julie Noyes? Tina Andreason?), Harvest St. (Anita Rusbosin) and Gridley Rd. (Sharon Smith) It was a long walk to Santa Fe! So we had a lot of time to walk and...Expand for more
talk together.
Keith and I live in Huntington Beach and love it here in Geezerville, a retirement community called Landmark. I am waiting for grandchildren, so my daughter Kari better get with it.(But first she has to get married!) And I have three granddogs! Kari has a salon in Torrance called "A New Creation".
Does anyone remember Auction City? Kiddieland? The Norwalk Plunge? I still have dreams about the Norwalk Plunge and I think it was my favorite place on earth. Arvo's Market? Wm. Orr School? Gary Bandy, first boyfriend, where are you? Eston Stowers, first kiss, where are you?
RIP Susan Hall (best friend in 4th and 5th grade) and Sharon Griffin.
Where is Lynne Faucett?
I have done nothing to deserve the happiness I have. It is a blessed gift and I thank God for all the kind people I have encountered in my life.
Hope to see a lot of you soon!
